When you go to delete a folder is it saying “can’t delete file – item not found” (or something along those lines)?
If the answer is yes, you’re definitely in the right spot!
Because in this video, I’m going to show you how to delete a folder that won’t delete (Windows 10, 8 & 7 all work with this method).
PLUS, it’s completely free to do and you don’t even need any software or anything. And it’s only 2 1/2 minutes long!
No lie, the first time I had this issue it took me DAYS to figure out a solution, but finally I came across a video that worked!
And we were good for awhile…
But then, I came across the issue again…
And again…
So I finally decided that I would record a video of me fixing it – That way I can help you figure out how to delete a folder that won’t delete…
…and you don’t have to waste days trying to figure this out (like me)! 😛
Enjoy the video:
Here’s the text (in order) to type in on Command Prompt:
cd /d C:\Users\YourUserName\Desktop (press enter)
dir \x (press enter)
rmdir /q /s FOLDER~# (press enter)
And BOOM! If you did it properly, the file will be deleted from your desktop!!
Now you know how to delete a folder that won’t delete! 🙂
